About Jacob's Creek
Jacob's Creek traces its name to a bend in the North Para River in South Australia's Barossa Valley, where Johann Gramp planted his first vines in 1847. The modern brand launched in the mid-1970s and has since become one of Australia's most widely exported wine labels, sold in more than 60 countries. The Classic range is its everyday tier: varietally clear, consistent vintage to vintage, and built for drinking now rather than cellaring. Jacob's Creek is part of Vinarchy, formed in 2025 from the merger of Accolade Wines with Pernod Ricard's Australian, New Zealand and Spanish wine businesses.
Tasting notes
Ripe melon and white peach lead into a rounded, gently creamy mid-palate. A soft citrus lift keeps the finish fresh. Serve well chilled alongside roast chicken, creamy pasta or mild soft cheeses.
