Terms of sale
Version 1.0
Effective from: 19 September 2026
Supersedes: none — first edition for Globev Duty Free Limited
Applies to: all quotations, pro forma invoices and sales from this date
These terms apply to every quotation, pro forma invoice and sale by Globev Duty Free Limited ("GloBev", "we"). They are written for business customers in the drinks trade. Last updated 19 September 2026.
1. Who we sell to
We sell exclusively to businesses: duty-free and travel-retail operators, bonded warehousekeepers, importers, distributors, wholesalers and ship suppliers. We do not sell to consumers. By placing an order you confirm that you are acting in the course of a business, that you hold every licence, registration and authorisation needed to buy, receive, store and resell alcoholic beverages in your jurisdiction, and that the person ordering is of legal drinking age and authorised to bind the business.
We may ask for evidence of these authorisations before opening an account or releasing goods, and may decline to trade at our discretion.
2. Quotations and orders
Prices on our website are not displayed. Quotations are issued in euro, exclusive of duty, VAT and taxes, and are valid for the period shown on the quotation (fourteen days unless stated otherwise). Quotations are subject to stock availability at the time of order. A contract is formed only when we issue a pro forma invoice in response to your order; we may decline any order without giving a reason.
3. Prices, payment and pro forma invoices
Unless we have agreed credit terms in writing, payment is due in full, in euro, by bank transfer to the account named on the pro forma invoice, before goods are released. Goods are reserved for you for seven days from the pro forma date; if payment has not cleared by then we may release the stock to other customers and re-quote. We do not accept card payments, cheques or cash. Bank charges are for the payer's account. We will only ever notify a change of bank details in writing from a @globevdutyfree.com address and will confirm it by telephone on request; please verify any such change with us before paying.
4. Delivery terms
Goods are supplied EXW (Ex Works) from our nominated bonded warehouse in the Netherlands under Incoterms® 2020, unless a different Incoterm is stated on the pro forma. Under EXW you are responsible for collection, loading, export and import formalities, transport and insurance from the moment the goods are placed at your disposal. Where we agree to arrange transport, we do so as your agent and will invoice the cost separately. Lead times shown on product pages and quotations are estimates given in good faith and are not guaranteed.
5. Excise and customs status
Goods are held and released under excise duty suspension. Each product page shows its customs status: T2 goods are in free circulation within the EU customs territory; T1 goods are non-Union goods held in transit. To receive duty-suspended goods you must be, or must appoint, an authorised warehousekeeper, registered consignee or equivalent under Council Directive (EU) 2020/262 and the law of the destination, and you must supply the details we need to raise the electronic administrative document (e-AD) or other movement document. If a movement is not properly discharged for reasons within your control, you will indemnify us for any duty, VAT, interest and penalties assessed against us or our warehouse.
6. Risk and title
Risk passes to you when the goods are placed at your disposal at the warehouse under EXW (or as otherwise stated in the agreed Incoterm). Title passes only when we have received payment in full for those goods and any other sums then due. Until then you hold the goods as our bailee, must keep them identifiable and insured, and must not pledge or charge them.
7. Inspection and claims
Please check goods on collection. Shortages or visible damage must be noted on the carrier's documents and reported to us within two working days; other defects within seven days of collection. We will replace or credit goods we accept to be defective. Claims for age-dated or vintage-specific products must be made before the goods leave our warehouse. We are not responsible for deterioration caused by transport or storage after collection.
8. Sanctions, export controls and anti-corruption
We screen customers, beneficial owners and destinations against EU, UN, UK and US sanctions lists and will not trade where a restriction applies. You warrant that neither you nor any party in your supply chain is a sanctioned person and that goods will not be re-exported to any embargoed destination or in breach of applicable export controls. Both parties comply with anti-corruption law including the Irish Criminal Justice (Corruption Offences) Act 2018 and the UK Bribery Act 2010. We may suspend or cancel any order where we believe, acting reasonably, that completing it would breach these rules, without liability to you.
9. Brands and responsible marketing
Products are supplied for lawful resale in their authentic condition. You must not alter, relabel or repackage goods, remove lot codes, or use brand owners' trademarks except to identify genuine products for resale. You will market alcohol responsibly and in accordance with the law and codes of the markets you serve.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for the goods concerned, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or indirect or consequential loss. We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including port, customs or excise system disruption, strikes, weather and supplier failure.
11. Data and confidentiality
We process business contact data as described in our privacy notice. Prices, quotations and terms we give you are confidential and for your use only.
12. Law and disputes
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Ireland. The courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. If any provision is found unenforceable the rest continue in force. These terms prevail over any terms in your purchase order unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
